B&H Metshield RC-100

B&H Metshield RC-100 is a powerful rust/oxidation converter designed for use on various steels, iron, cast iron, etc. This aqueous solution is engineered to convert rust and oxidation safely and economically. The biggest advantage is that the components do not get rusty again after being removed from the solution, unlike acidic rust removers. It forms a black inactive layer on the metal surface, which can then be painted for longer life.

B&H Metshield RC-100 easily works in the nooks and crannies and all other wetted areas, eliminating the need for mechanical removal. It saves your money and time by eliminating the need for time-consuming sanding and grinding operations, not to mention the cost of labor associated with these operations.

B&H Metshield RC-100 can be used multiple times as it works on a self-replenishment system. It also forms a protective layer on top, which helps prevent further corrosion.

Usage

Take the rusted part and dip it in the solution for a few minutes or apply with Spray Gun, Paint Brush. Flash rusted parts may take up to 10-30 minutes and very highly rusted components may take up to a few hours.

The product does not get tarnished as in acid solutions and can be left within solutions for up to days. Dipping by far is the best method for establishing an even layer on the component. Other methods may be used such as mist spraying, electrostatic spraying, brushing, automatic conveyor spray or dip process.

It is important that the complete surface of the component is coated with the B&H Metshield RC-100.

Use of gloves while handling the components as well as immediate packaging is important. In case the oily film is present, clean the part with Aqua-Clean Degreaser first.

Packaging and Storage

Store in a cool dry place and always keep oil sealed when not in use.

Disposal

Disposal of product or waste must comply with official local regulations.
