We’re delighted to share that we have received BIS License for our MIG Welding Wire products, alongside our existing BIS License for Welding Electrodes. This prestigious certification ensures that our wires meet the highest quality standards set by the Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS).

What’s New:

The Indian government has implemented the “Welding Rods and Electrodes (Quality Control) Order, 2023.” It’s now mandatory to manufacture/sell only BIS-compliant (ISI Marked) welding electrodes and wires only.

As per Section 17 of the BIS Act, 2016, “No person shall manufacture, import, distribute, sell, hire, lease, store or exhibit for sale any such goods, article, process, system or service without a Standard Mark, except under a valid licence.”

As per Section 29 of the BIS Act, 2016, “Any person who contravenes/violates the provisions of section 17 shall be punishable with imprisonment for a term which may extend up to two years or with fine which shall not be less than two lakh rupees for the first contravention and not be less than five lakh rupees for the second and subsequent contraventions, but may extend up to ten times the value of goods or articles produced or sold or offered to be sold or affixed or applied with a Standard Mark.”
